Welcome to Uptown. The North Side Uptown neighborhood is brimming with history, from its buildings to central Uptown Square. During the 1920s, Uptown’s new commercial center was named Broadway after its New York cousin.

Where movie stars and gangsters once roamed, live music rules venues today. From the iconic Green Mill jazz club to the Aragon Ballroom to the Riveria Theater, all genres have a home in Upton. Other live entertainment options include the Black Ensemble Theater and Chicago Magic Lounge.
